Robert D Morren, M.D.

Dr. Morren was raised in Grandville, Michigan. He graduated from Calvin College (1991) and Wayne State University School of Medicine (1995). After completing his surgical internship at Butterworth Hospital (1996), he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University (2001). During his residency, he participated in an AO/ASIF Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship in Berlin, Germany. Upon completion of his residency program, he spent 12 months in Wichita, Kansas (2002), and six months in Adelaide, Australia (2003), for fellowship training in total joint replacement/adult reconstruction.

Dr. Morren is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (2005), and has been a partner at K Valley Orthopedics since March of2003. His orthopedic interests include hip and knee arthritis, joint replacement, and orthopedic trauma. He is presently the Division Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Borgess Medical Center, and a clinical instructor for Michigan State University/Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies. He frequently gives arthritis/joint replacement lectures for the Borgess Medical Center Joint Camp, and he was the first surgeon in Kalamazoo to perform a ceramic-on-ceramic total hip replacement.

Dr. Morren and his wife have four young boys, and are members of Westwood Christian Reformed Church. In addition to doing surgery, Dr. Morren enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, wine, golf, and many other sports.
