Mark A. Brammer, Physical Therapist
Born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, Mark attended Youngstown State University. As a student there, his experiences included clinicals at Youngstown Physical Therapy, Inc. and Silverio Physical Therapy, both outpatient orthopedic clinics, and at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, an acute rehabilitation setting. He was also chairman of the Student PT fundraising committee. Mark graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2000 with a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy. Currently, he is working on his DPT degree through Des Moines University.
After college, he received a position at Borgess Hospital as an on-call Physical Therapist. He worked at various sites of the hospital, including outpatient clinic, acute care and neuro rehab. At the same time, Mark worked part-time at Industrial Medicine performing initial evaluations and treatments for the outpatient orthopedic clinic, as well as, treating athletes from Glen Oaks Community College during the basketball, baseball, and softball seasons.
Joining K Valley Orthopedics P.C. in 2002, he conducted gait analysis, stretching, and strengthening workshops for a local runner's association to educate on proper form and injury prevention. Mark also volunteered his time last year working with the Kalamazoo Central football team for their off-season training program.
Mark has been a member of the APTA since 1999. He was able to earn his M.D.T. certification in the spine through the McKenzie Institute in 2006. He is very active in running and lifting, which helps him maintain an understanding of the physical stresses placed upon athletes.
He currently resides in Schoolcraft with his wife, Carolyn.
